Metalock Brasil is ready to meet the growing demand for services on pumps and cargo turbines manufactured in Japan, from two of the country’s major manufacturers: SHINKO and DMW. Recently, our technicians travelled to Japan to participate in training at these manufacturers.
SHINKO is recognized for its excellence in manufacturing a variety of pumps, including oil cargo pumps, ballast pumps, stripping pumps, and special pump assemblies for the transportation of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) and liquid nitrogen. Meanwhile, DMW specializes in producing vertical pumps designed to meet the needs of FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) and offshore platforms.
SHINKO pumps are essential for serving tankers and chemical vessels, with specific configurations for each type of vessel. Tanker ships, for example, typically require three cargo pumps, two ballast pumps, two stripping pumps, and, in some cases, other centrifugal pumps.
Due to the increased demand and representation of new manufacturers, three of our technicians were sent for training in Japan, ensuring that Metalock Brasil is equipped to offer predictive maintenance services, repairs, and troubleshooting solutions for pumps and cargo turbines manufactured by SHINKO and DMW.
The training provided specialist knowledge about the products and maintenance procedures of the pumps manufactured by these companies.
With this strategic expansion of our technical capabilities, Metalock Brasil is ready to meet the growing needs of the Marine and Offshore maintenance market.
