Metalock Brasil, renowned for its expertise in the maintenance of equipments for the Industrial, Marine and Offshore sectors, continues to invest in the technical enhancement of its team by sending its employees for on-site training with the manufacturers for which it is an authorized representative. This ensures that the company’s professionals are always up-to-date and prepared to deliver high-quality services.
Recently, a technician from Metalock Rio de Janeiro was sent to Hamburg, Germany, to participate in an intensive training course offered by Wärtsilä ANCS, one of the leading global manufacturers of maritime equipment.
During the training, the employee had the opportunity to deepen his knowledge of the latest model of the Voyage Data Recorder (VDR), the VDR4380.
The VDR4380, commonly known as the “black box” of ships, plays a key role in maritime safety. This equipment is responsible for recording critical navigation data, radar images, and audio from radio communications and microphones.
The information stored by the VDR4380 is of great importance in accident scenarios, as it can be used by shipowners, port authorities, and insurers for investigation and analysis purposes.
With this training, Metalock Brasil reaffirms its commitment to providing authorized maintenance services with the highest quality and efficiency, ensuring that its technicians have the necessary knowledge to handle the latest technological innovations in the sector.
