Metalock Brasil performs emergency repair on Ro-Ro vessel for vehicle transport

A roll-on roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessel, which transports vehicles, was hit by a severe storm at sea, resulting in the structural collapse of one of its internal decks. The vessel, which left Belgium bound for Callao (Peru), deviated from its route to carry out emergency repairs at the Port of Santos, in the state of São Paulo.

The deck gave way over the vehicles located immediately below, and Metalock Brasil provided a team of mechanical technicians, boilermakers, and welders who used high-capacity hoists to lift it. After the necessary repositioning, all structural reinforcement was repaired.

The team worked continuously through the night of the incident and the following day, completing the required services in record time and allowing the ship to resume its voyage.
