Metalock Brasil does not stop because of covid-19, carrying out its activities as an essential service provider, key to maintaining transport logistics during these difficult times.
The company carried out important load tests on three 45-ton SWL (Safe Working Load) cranes, using its water bags. The load test performed was with 50 tons – SWL + 5 tons, according to ILO (International Labour Organization) rules.
The SWL test is an assessment that must be done annually on any lifting device, such as cranes, winches and elevators, for example. It determines the load limit that the equipment can safely lift or transport. The SWL limit must be clearly displayed on all types of lifting devices.
The test – which took place on board a vessel berthed at a port terminal in Santos, – was monitored and approved by the DNV-GL classification society surveyor.
Metalock Brasil is qualified and accredited to carry out load tests, using quality equipment and with highly trained professionals.
Metalock Brasil’s teams are ready to answer and respond to service calls, following all the necessary recommended safety measures and paying special attention to the guidelines as promulgated by the official authorities.
